Description: Sr. Network Administrator
This position demands a Sr. Network Administrator in a Production role with a working knowledge of Microsoft Clustering Technologies and operating systems. The candidate should be proficient in trouble shooting, network connectivity’s, and backup/recovery strategies. The individual should possess excellent communication skills. The individual must be comfortable adapting to a rapidly moving client focus and must be adept at multitasking. Knowledge and expertise in Windows Operating Systems with Active Directory experience and high availability and EMC SAN environment. The individual has to support a distributed application for users in multiple locations and therefore should possess strong problem solving, debugging and maintenance skills. Also critical would be the ability to manage change and effectively test fixes and enhancements on the network. The individual will provide support to SQL Server database administrators and Develpers support and technical support for multiple applications in DEV, UAT, and Prod. User acceptance test, quality assurance, performance and production environments. The position will consist of both systems and application network administration responsibilities for large-scale network administration on multiple clustered and non-clustered Windows platforms.
Responsibilities include:
Installation, configuration, maintenance and backup/recovery of Windows Operation Systems 2003 or Higher software in a Windows environment.
Network duties include:
Database designed, creation and configuration, performance tuning, code migration, disk space management, database backups, database performance and resource monitoring, and trouble shooting. Other duties include creation of backup plans, test disaster recovery scenarios, manage security and spec out hardware requests from business units.
The individual must have senior level experience managing Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 Windows Servers.
Working knowledge of File Servers, Active Directory and other Windows systems is required.
The individual must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Additionally, the individual must be able to work in a multiple team environment. Working with peers, application development, operations, and upper management.
The Sr. Network Administrator will Maintain Network Security and Firewall.
Ongoing upgrade and maintenance on internal ERP, CRM and web systems. Writing scripts to automate various tasks to enhance the network systems.
Hands-on experiences in IIS web services a huge plus .NET Framework with Visual Studio, background a huge plus.
Besides strong skills in Network Administration, preference will be given to individuals with working knowledge and experience in EMC SAN technologies, HP/Compaq Hardware, NetIQ AppManager, Data Masker, Idera SQL Secure, Remedy, LiteSpeed for SQL Server 32 and 64 bit and Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer.
The individual will be assigned on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis, which often requires work after normal business hours for network server maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7+ years experience in Network Administration Management.
  • Strong Windows OS skills.
  • Keen ability to evaluate user requirements and provide a professional archival product.

  • Ability to be self directed and manage multiple tasks with a “can do” attitude
  • Strong skills / understanding of network performance factor, monitoring tools and recovery procedures.
